Pension Action E-Newsletter

Do you have a story to tell?

  • Did your 401(k) lose so much of its value in the last 18 months that you don't know when - or if - you'll be able to retire?
  • Has your employer frozen your traditional pension plan or suspended your 401(k) match?
  • Do you worry about paying your bills in retirement because you don't have either a pension or a 401(k)?
  • Have you had trouble claiming retirement benefits that you rightfully earned?
  • Are you retired, widowed or divorced and finding it hard to make ends meet?

Share your story

If so, we want to hear from you. Share your story.

As advocates for workers, retirees, and their families, the Pension Rights Center is continually working to improve our nation's retirement income programs. Over the years we have found that elected officials and the media often don't pay attention to a problem, or don't even realize that a problem exists, until they hear about someone who has been directly affected by it. Share your story.

"Putting a face on the issue" is one of the most effective ways to change the hearts and minds of policymakers and to get them to act. For that reason, we are always on the lookout for real-life stories that illustrate such things as the impact of broken pension promises, inadequate 401(k)s, and lack of pension coverage on Americans from all walks of life. Share your story.

By telling your story, you can make a difference. You can show how retirement policies affect real people. And you can let others who are in the same predicament know that they are not alone.

Many have already shared their stories with us. Please join them by telling your story today. Simply visit our web site to share your story with the Pension Rights Center.
