Happy Holidays from the Pension Rights Center
All of us at the Pension Rights Center send you our very best wishes for the happiest of holiday seasons and a wonderful new year.
Thanks to your support we have had an exciting and productive 2009:
- Together with our partners, we launched Retirement USA, a visionary long-range initiative to create a universal, secure, and adequate private retirement system for future retirees.
- Thanks to our National Pension Assistance Resource Center and PensionHelp America web site, workers and retirees around the country received the legal assistance they needed to get their retirement benefits.
- With our Women's Pension Coalition colleagues, our Women's Pension Project completed the development of a set of proposals to significantly improve retirement security for working women.
- As part of our Consumer Agenda for Retirement Security, we laid the groundwork for removing roadblocks that unfairly prevent workers from successfully claiming their retirement benefits.
- Building on the work of our Conversation on Coverage, we produced a comprehensive report that presented a range of innovative alternative retirement plan designs for nonprofit organizations.
- And, as always, we pursued our mission of protecting and promoting retirement security for workers, retirees, and their families, by testifying before Congress, appearing before administrative agencies, filing friend-of-the-court briefs, and informing colleagues and the public about important issues in retirement income policy through our newsletters, blog and in the media.
We're looking forward to accomplishing even more in 2010. If you haven't done so already, please consider making a secure online donation through our web site to support our work.
Thanks so much!
