Here’s some of the latest news from the world of pensions:

▪    The fifth annual Retirement Fitness Survey finds that many workers will outlive their retirement savings.The survey also finds that 67 percent of workers have changed their expectations for retirement in the past year. 

 ▪    The Center for Retirement Research has analyzed data from the 2007 Survey of Consumer Finances and has concluded that 401(k) plans alone shouldn’t provide the sole supplement to Social Security. Read other Center for Retirement Research publications.

 ▪    The Pension Protection Act of 2006 created a new savings vehicle that combines features of traditional pensions with features 401(k) plans. The new plan, called a DB(k) has been in the news a lot lately. Read our summary.
