Pension Rights Center testifies on tax expenditures in retirement plans

At a hearing before the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance, Pension Rights Center Executive Vice President and Policy Director Karen Friedman called on lawmakers to re-examine the tax incentives associated with 401(k) plans and other retirement savings plans -- not as a way to reduce the federal budget deficit -- but as a way to reduce the Retirement Income Deficit.
